Theme for #AtoZChallenge 2019 - Operations Management

Operating or operations processes deliver firm's goods and services for the sales orders. Operations have to be effective and efficient. Effectiveness is achieved when customer is satisfied with the product or service delivered. The product delivered has to conform to the specifications indicated in the sales order. It has to be delivered within the time stipulated. The location has to be same as indicated. The installation service if any has to be as per the promise.  While effectiveness is judged by the customer, efficiency is an internal yardstick of the firm. Customer happiness is effectiveness.
Employee happiness is part of efficiency. Efficiency is related to the amount of resources used in the production process or operating processes. Total cost of resources can be determined and efficiency means lower cost of operations.

Operations Management is management of operation or operating activities effectively and efficiently.
